There I was, with the woman of my dreams, a Mormon, with a heart for me and our newborn, 3 months old daughter, she was just feeding her when the doorbell rang.
I opened the door and my 2 best friends Frank and Carys were standing there, I let them in…they handed me a present for our newborn child.
I passed it on to my brand new wife and took care of coffee and tea.

I told them to sit down…and my heart started to beat like crazy, again…it always did when they came to visit…it was not the fact that Carys was attractive with her big brown eyes and her long dark hair and the freckles on her pale face…or the gap between her teeth that did gave her the extra sweet girlish look.
Then Frank, he was weird he always told me he was dead…like really dead…oh yes he was cold and he never ate or drank anything.
He was crazy about my wife, she was attractive, but Frank said she was too old for me…this was maybe the last child she could ever had, she lost hers in the war…somehow we both could not remember a thing, just that she lost her child and husband, then I met her…we married only weeks later and next there was a child…but although there was more then 20 years age difference she looked good and Frank always made her blush with naughty jokes. I often had to stop him, out of respect for my wife.

Today…like I said, I had this feeling again…the feeling I always had when Carys and Frank came to visit…
I got up from the new sofa and put my cup down…I ran my hand though my hair and just walked to the front door, I opened it and “something” drew me outside, into the rain…it was mid summer, but this was Cardiff…it rained as if the world was ending…
I could hear Frank calling after me and the baby crying…he grabbed my wrist and I elbowed him…

“let me go Frank, something is not right here…”…

I started to run…Frank and Carys followed, also running…I ran and ran for minutes…to the Millennium center…I got inside…of course I was stopped first…but Frank distracted the man and I ran on and on, I was here before, but I had no idea where I was going now…
I went down…down concrete steps…and it brought me under the center…the parking lot…
There were only a few cars…it was still early…and I ran as if I was looking for something…and there it was…a big car…under a cover…in his cocoon…as if someone wanted to hide it…or…forget it…
I could hear Frank and Carys screaming…then they joined me…
I could her Frank talking to to Carys as if I was not really here…

“Something triggered it…”…he almost whispered but I did not pay attention to him, although they seem to be talking behind my back…”He will find out…”…Carys told Frank…
“let him…it’s too late now…’…Frank told her…

And that moment I helped the car out of it’s cocoon…my eyes grew big, I had seen this car in my dreams…but this one looked terrible, it was more shiny in my dreams and massive with blue lights…I ran my fingers over the damaged and dirty car…I could feel something under my fingertips…
“TORCHWOOD”…
I swallowed and looked at Frank…somehow I got the feeling they knew about this…

I looked around…camera’s…it almost felt as if I was here before…I walked over, what seem to be, a concrete distortion in the wall…as if someone blew a hole in the wall and decided to fix it with a big block of solid concrete…without thinking I ran my fingers over the little “eye” next to the door…and it recognized my fingerprint…it opened…and Frank and Carys followed when I stepped inside…Carys was crying…I stepped into the lift…and I let it take me upstairs, everything seemed to work by the touch of my finger tips…

The lift opened and I stepped inside something massive…something I had dreamed off, but in real life it was MUCH bigger…and I started to walk…as if I was looking for someone…the kitchen area was a big mess, broken mugs, coffee pots…as if someone left it and just ran…the rest was a chaos, bit not like this little corner…

I looked up and there he was…I did not know his name…but the face I remembered and that dashing smile…he did smile but tears were screaming down his perfect face…and he just held me…
It felt as if I came home…
